Orroroo - Peterborough - 26 January 1986
With only a few kilometers to go to get into Peterborough, the section car coughed, farted, and ground to a halt!
Seems like someone had misjudged the amount of fuel needed to get into Peterborough.
This was the only problem we'd had with the car the whole weekend.
Arrival at Peterborough
We waited for three quarters of an hour to get from the Hurleston Stree Crossing, into Peterborough.
At this time, Peterborough was still locally controlled, and our arrival had triggered a fault in the signalling system.
Its amazing how much this very scene has changed in 21 years.
To the left is the deisel shop and roundhouse.
