Yeppoon to North Rockhampton
This trip was an ASSCO run, the third in Queensland since it renewed its insurance.

Eight cars attended, three of which were M15s and five of which were ST2-Z42s. 22 people participated.

The majority of the cars were bought up from Brisbane on a hired truck, as Yeppoon is about 600km north of that city and about 60km north-east of Rockhampton. Hats off to all the members who got together to pull this off!

We had two new members complete their accreditation, both coming from the Northern regions of Queensland, namely Townsville.

We had to dig out crossings, as many were fouled, because this line was under threat of removal. ASSCO did one more run a year or so later.

A bloody humid weekend for us Mexicans, but a well organised one. I haven't drunk so much water for ages.

Thanks to Ken McHugh for the Pic, and to Andrew Simpson for his wonderful hospitality.

ASSCO ran this line another couple of times, however I understand it has since been pulled up.

Thats a very sweaty me at Mt Chalmers, once a busy pineapple collection point. My GPS gave me coordinates of S23.18.053 E150.38.506.

Have a look too, at Ken McHughs Page.

This was my last run with ASSCO - As I currently work in regulation, and ASSCO's primary accreditation is in my jurisdiction, there are issues with conflicts. So after this run, I stepped down from the group after leading it for five years. - see here for my old ASSCO members Page.
