Leons book is a fine effort at collating together a significant volume of information regarding the history of the motorcar in America.

Although it does not cover, by Leons admission, every manufacturer known, it is an excelent attempt to do so.

Whilst the major manufacturers are covered in detail, including Fairmont, Wickham, Kalamazoo and Buda, there are many lesser known ones as well - some 65 in all, not including those built by the railroads.
